Terms of Service

FoilSide ("we," "us") provides a subscription information service at foilside.com that surfaces trading-card listings from third-party online stores and estimates their market value. By creating a membership or using the site, you agree to these terms.

The big one, up front: FoilSide provides estimates and information, not financial advice, and not guarantees. Assessed values, projected profits, margins, and "below market" figures are automated estimates based on available market data. They can be wrong. Card markets move. Always verify a card's condition, authenticity, and value yourself before purchasing. You buy from third-party stores at your own risk and judgment.

1. What the service is

Membership grants access to our deal feed, live search, valuation estimates, alerts, and related features. We are an information service only: we do not sell cards, hold inventory, process card purchases, or act as a party to any transaction between you and any store. All purchases happen on third-party websites under their terms.

2. What the service is not

Not investment, financial, or professional advice. We are not licensed advisors.
Not a guarantee of profit, deal availability, deal accuracy, or listing availability.
Not an authentication service. Automated checks (including photo analysis) reduce risk but cannot certify that any card is genuine or accurately graded.

3. Your account

Memberships are personal. One membership = one person; don't share sign-in links or resell access. You're responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (scraping the feed, automated redistribution of deal data, attempting to bypass access controls, or interfering with other members' fair use, e.g. hoarding claims).

4. Billing

Membership is a recurring annual subscription billed through Stripe at the price shown at checkout. It renews automatically each year until canceled. You can turn off renewal via the billing portal ("Manage plan"); access continues through the end of the paid year. See the Refund Policy below.

5. Intellectual property

The FoilSide name, logo, site design, valuation methodology, and deal data presentation are ours. Deal data is provided for your personal use as a member, not for republication, resale, or bulk redistribution. Card names, images, and store listings belong to their respective owners. FoilSide is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures Inc., Game Freak, or any card grading company; trademarks are used only to describe the cards our tool helps you find (nominative use).

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FoilSide is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three (3) months before the claim arose. We are not liable for purchase decisions you make, losses on cards you buy or sell, third-party store conduct, or service interruptions.

7. Changes

We may update these terms or the service itself; material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which FoilSide's operator resides.

Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a membership site, we don't sell your data, and payment details never touch our servers.

What we collect

Email address: to manage your membership and send sign-in links.
Session cookie: to keep you signed in (up to 30 days). Strictly functional; we do not run advertising trackers.
Membership + usage records: subscription status, deal claims, and store reports you submit, so member features work fairly.
Standard server logs: IP address and request data, kept briefly for security and debugging.

What we never collect

Card payment details. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe; we receive only your email and subscription status, never your card number.

Service providers we share with

Stripe: payment processing.
Resend: delivers sign-in emails.
Render: hosts the application.

Each receives only what it needs to perform its function. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone, ever.

Your choices

You can cancel your membership anytime. To have your account data deleted, email support@foilside.com and we'll remove your records (except minimal billing records we're legally required to keep). Cookie-averse? Clearing cookies simply signs you out.

Refund Policy

Simple and honest:

First-time members: if FoilSide isn't for you, email us within 7 days of your first charge and we'll refund it in full, no interrogation.
Renewals: renewals are not refundable, but you can turn off renewal via "Manage plan" and keep access until the end of the year you've paid for. Turn it off before the renewal date and you won't be charged again.
Billing mistakes: duplicate or erroneous charges are refunded in full, just tell us.

Refund requests: support@foilside.com from your membership email. Refunds return to the original payment method via Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days.

Refunds are about the subscription. We can't refund cards you bought from third-party stores, those purchases are between you and the store, under their policies.
